Flights starting from as low as $49 per person one way

Flights are now on sale for Australia’s newest low-cost airline Bonza to many of the country’s hidden regional gems. As part of Bonza’s phased rollout of flight releases, travellers are now able to book flights to 12 destinations on 15 routes.
Aussie travellers are advised to book direct on the Fly Bonza app to get the lowest fares and to score a seat on the airline’s first flights, starting with Sunshine Coast to Whitsunday Coast on Tuesday 31 January. Travellers will be able to lock away holiday plans for Easter, school holidays and long weekends with flights available to book up until late October 2023.
“The wait is over! 2023 is the Year for Allstralia, with low cost air travel to many holiday spots, some of which are relatively undiscovered. It’s time to see more of your own backyard for less,” said Carly Povey, Chief Commercial Officer at Bonza.
“We’re delighted to be delivering on our commitment to make air travel more accessible. We promised choice and better connectivity to the regions for less and we’ve been beyond delighted with the support for our mission.
“Today we start making travel a possibility for the many, not the few. Forget connecting flights or your bum going numb in the car, Bonza is here to take Aussies from A to B without the C (cost and complexity)”.
For travellers who have already downloaded the app, they should delete and reinstall the latest version to have the ability to book flights.

- Albury: Fares starting from $69 per person one way, 2 flights per week
- Avalon: Fares starting from $79 per person one way, 3 flights per week
- Cairns: Fares starting from $79 per person one way, 5 flights per week
- Coffs Harbour: Fares starting from $49 per person one way, 2 flights per week
- Mackay: Fares starting from $59 per person one way, 3 flights per week
- Mildura: Fares starting from $79 per person one way, 2 flights per week
- Newcastle: Fares starting from $59 per person one way, 4 flights per week
- Port Macquarie: Fares starting from $49 per person one way, 2 flights per week
- Rockhampton: Fares starting from $49 per person one way, 3 flights per week
- Townsville: Fares starting from $69 per person one way, 4 flights per week
- Whitsunday Coast: Fares starting from $59 per person one way, 3 flights per week

The flights on sale now are an indication of what’s here to stay from Bonza.
“It’s important that Aussie travellers know we’re on sale, not having a sale. We’re committed to low cost fares which will in turn, stimulate new markets for Australia’s domestic tourism industry. We’re confident whenever customers choose to travel, all our fares and not just our starting fares will represent great value,” added Povey.
Routes from Bonza’s second base at Melbourne Airport are expected to go on sale in a matter of weeks.
Bonza - Australia’s new, and only independent low-cost airline, enabling Australians to explore more of their own backyard, and at low-cost prices. Bonza’s initial route map includes 27 routes to 17 destinations. Ninety three per cent of Bonza routes are not currently served by any airline and 96% not currently served by a low-cost carrier. The only place to book direct is on the FlyBonza app.
